Recent 1st prize winner of the Bay Area Classical Guitar Competition (December 2017) Christopher Mann will be performing Mauro Giuliani’s Concerto No. 1 in A-Major together with the Grace Note Chamber Players, as well as other selected works for solo guitar. His playing has been described as ‘poetic’ and ‘jaw-dropping’. He has been playing since the age of 3, winning his first competition at the age of 7. Since then, he has been performing in Europe and the United States.
Chris earned his performance degrees from the Berlin University of the Arts and the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany under the tutelages of Prof. Martin Rennert and Prof. Thomas Mueller-Pering. He is the president of the South Bay Guitar Society.
