I very excited to invite you to apply for this year’s CSU Summer Arts Guitar Course. It takes place on the campus of CSUMontereyBay July 1-14, 2013. We have scheduled two solid weeks of guitar clinics, master classes, concerts, group lessons, and more with some of the top names in the guitar world including: Eliot Fisk (NEC), Benjamin Verdery (Yale), GRAMMY-winner Andrew York, GRAMMY-winner Scott Tennant, GRAMMY-winner William Kanengiser, Julian Coryell (Alanis Morissette and Lines Forms Hear), Evan Hirschelman, Rafael Elizondo (Mexico), flamenco guitarist Kai Narezo, and yours truly, Scott Morris.
Applying is very easy and open to everyone from amateur enthusiasts to pre-professional conservatory players. Simply visit csusummerarts.org and download the registration form. Send the form to firstname.lastname@example.org along with a personal statement and resume. The personal statement simply needs to say why you are interested in studying guitar at Summer Arts. Scholarships and financial aid are also available by downloading and completing the form also found on the website. Tuition (CA residents) is $1600 USD for the two weeks along with $526.50 for student housing and the meal plan on campus. More than 70% of our students receive some form of scholarship or financial aid. You will also earn 3 units of college credit with the CSU system but you do not have to be a CSU student to apply.
